Continue to challenge yourself and seek mentors for advice. Continue to demonstrate quality instruction, create engaging environments, and provide extensive support systems for all students.

Sometimes, the best lesson that kids learn from us is not subject matter, but something much deeper, more profound--kindness and caring. I know that the only way my students can learn math, or any subject, is for them to feel safe in their learning environment. This math class is a place where it is safe for them to be unique, to be loved for their uniqueness, to persist through mistakes, and to have open discussions with me without judgment.
