What advice would you give to people considering a career in teaching?

Enjoy each day working with students; the key to that is to find something positive in all your students. I would also advice new teacher to always look for teachable moments so they don't pass by. Finally, I would advice new teachers to celebrate any and all improvements made by students;, it keeps both of you motivated to keep working.

What's the best thing about teaching?

The best thing about teaching high school students with special needs is watching them graduate and seeing them find their place in society as young adults.
