Teacher Interview with John Warren

How do you work as a team with parents, administrators, and other teachers?

The way that a teacher works with other teachers is primarily through advice and exchange of ideas. Many of the things that I do in this class are just rehashes from what I’ve learned from other people, either teachers I’ve had in the past or other teachers who teach here or teach at other schools. I am not above stealing any idea and I’ll use it and I’ll change it maybe to suit my needs a little bit, but that’s a main thing that you depend on other teachers for. When it comes to administration, hopefully they’re giving you the kind of support that’s necessary for you to be a creative teacher. I am very fortunate here at this school; our administration is extremely supportive of any kind of things that we try to do in the classroom.
