Always reward excellent effort and positive behavior. Recognize and utilize student and staff talents. Respect, empower, and retain quality para-educators. An effective program will have students believing in themselves, enjoying school, and consistently improving.

What's the best thing about teaching?

The essence of teaching students with special needs is sharing victories with people who can appreciate the challenges that have been overcome. It will bring tears to your eyes, melt your heart, and bring pure joy to your soul.
