Teaching is one of the most creative and rewarding careers available. It takes time, patience and persistence but it is one of the most effective ways to affect change in your community. I love my job and the ability I have to inspire curiosity, creativity and change in the world.

The best thing about teaching are the moments when I can advocate for a student who doesn't have a voice. Teachers have the power to change all students’ lives, to make them feel significant and respected. When this happens, when we understand each child’s unique identity, we strengthen our own appreciation of the truly diverse world we live in.
