What advice would you give to people considering a career in teaching?
I would encourage new teachers to follow their own inspiration. Students of tomorrow need to be inspired by the teachers of today and whereas there are practical aspects to teaching that we learn, it is the passion and heart that our students will remember and take with them. Let what inspires you move you forward to share that passion with others.
What's the best thing about teaching?
For me, teaching represents the epitome of change and growth. Being able to be a catalyst for this growth and change in our youth is the highest position that exists as we move into a future generation that represents all aspects of our society. I am honored to be someone who can help foster and mold that change into what I see as an exciting and innovative future.
