The best advice I can give a new teacher is to keep the work challenging and creative. Students grow and thrive when the work is interesting and rewarding. Keep in mind that the question, "When are we going to use this?" is legitimate and important. Students need to make connections between their learning and their lives outside of school. Knowing why you are teaching the things you teach is important for the teacher too. Your students have individual dreams, hopes, and desires, and we are here to support their personal success.

The best thing about teaching is knowing that you are making a difference in the life of another person.
