Be flexible! Even though you spend a lot of thought and time creating lessons, be open to change your plan as needed. For example, if you see that your class needs more time on a particular concept you might have to find another approach or resources to help reteach. Or, something unexpected might occur in class which is wonderful and you can go another direction you might not have thought about previously. That's part of the excitement and creativity of teaching.

Everyday and every class is different. The kids keep you energized and motivated to work harder every year.
