Credential/License From Another State
Print Checklist
Complete a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Completion of a professional preparation program, on or after January 1, 1997, from a state determined to have equivalent standards to the California Single Subject Teaching Credential (verified by either a copy of the certificate from the equivalent state). The out-of-state single subject program must be in the equivalent subject-matter area. (See Table to confirm that a state has been deemed equivalent for this option.)
