Print Checklist
Earn a recognized university degree by meeting one of the following requirements: Earning a bachelor's degree at a regionally-accredited university in the United States **OR** Providing official original documents for the evaluation of transcripts from a university outside the United States. Use this verification process, if you have a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university, or advanced degrees, or other coursework to be considered for a teaching credential. Read the [Foreign Transcript Evaluation leaflet](http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/cl635.pdf) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for more information on exactly how to complete this requirement.
Provide documentation for a minimum of three years teaching experience.

While bilingual abilities are beneficial, the ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required. You must be legally eligible to work in the United States. (This means that you must be a: U.S. citizen, or a legal resident with a Social Security Number or an Individual Tax Identification Number).
