At the end of my career as a lawyer, I had children who were in elementary school. I wanted to spend more time with them and I had felt that law was just a little bit more confrontational than I wanted it to be. I wanted to be able to go home at night and focus on my children and I saw what wonderful teachers they had, so I thought maybe teaching would be something I could do that would be more positive and less confrontational.
