Watching the kids grow. Watching them grow physically, socially and intellectually. At the beginning of the year I give them a string and we measure their height in centimeters and I give the string back to them at the end of the year. It’s amazing. Eighth-graders grow so tall. Eighth grade is a huge growth year physically. Then to see how they develop in their ability to grow in their thinking process is really a wonderful thing to see. That’s what I enjoy the most. We have an opportunity to impact students, to get them to love learning, to put them in a situation where they can have a good life and provide a beautiful future.
