The canned answer to that is that there is no typical day, that every day is different. A typical day involves interaction with a fairly large number of students every day. Not just on content, but also with who they are and what’s going on in their lives. It changes constantly. The typical day is a lot of interaction with students and a lot of decision-making is part of every day. That is one of the things that, if you think about teaching, you have to get comfortable with: making lots of decisions. Not that they are difficult, but you will make a lot of decisions every day.
